Lianyungang　is　one　of　China's　first　coastalcities　opening　to　the　outside　world　and　has　trade　relations　with　184　countriesand　regions.　Investors　and　merchants　from　more　than　30　countries　and　regionshave　invested　in　more　than　4,000　projects　here.

With　the　Lianyungang　Economic　andTechnological　Development　Area,　the　National　Demonstration　Area　for　theCooperation　among　China’s　Eastern,　Central　and　Western　Regions,　the　LianyungangHigh-Tech　Industrial　Development　Zone,　and　8　provincial　development　zones　andparks,　Lianyungang　boasts　special　customs　supervisions　areas,　including　the　exportprocessing　zones,　the　bonded　logistics　center,　thus　becoming　one　of　the　three　biggestinternational　business　centers　in　Jiangsu　Province.　Moreover,　establishments　ofthe　20　comprehensive　bonded　area　and　Free　Trade　Port　City.

With　the　policy　of　declaring　at　territoryand　inspecting　and　clearing　at　the　arrival　ports,　Lianyungang　Port　has　covered15　provinces　by　transregional　clearance　and　inspection　and　quarantine　release,and　formed　the　Land　Bridge　logistics　alliance　with　the　major　cities　along　theLand　Bridge,　hence　9　inland　dry　ports　have　been　established.　TheLianyungang-Xinjiang-Asia　railway　service　has　been　put　into　service　with　twotrains　scheduled　each　week.　‘Harmonious　Lianyungang’,　the　largest　ro-ropassenger　vessel　in　Asia,　has　launched　its　maiden　voyage.
