Based on Project Support, Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area Kindles Enthusiasm for Cultural Tourism

In 2023, Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area will deeply implement General Secretary Xi’s requirements of "shaping tourism through culture, highlighting culture through tourism, and promoting the integration of culture and tourism". Starting from the feedback on inspection and rectification, and supported by key project construction, targeted efforts will be made to fully promote the deep integration of culture and tourism in the scenic area, starting up a new engine for the cultural tourism industry.

Last summer vacation, every night in the Happy City of Fishery Bay, there was a dazzling and magnificent scene, with a giant sculpture of "magic fish transforming into a dragon", stunning street scenery with "elegant charm of Song style", brand new "praying fish dragon" lighting, Silk Road cuisine, "deep sea" exploration, and ancient stage performances... All that could be seen was elegance of Song style, which was overwhelming. Last April, the newly completed Happy City of Fishery Bay became a dazzling "star" in the city's cultural tourism market, attracting tourists from all directions and adding a vivid touch to the "Great Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area".

Strolling through the mountain, every step brings changes. Halfway up the Huaguo Mountain scenic area, walking along a shaded path, visitors will arrive at the newly completed courtyard "Ridge in Flowers ？ Cultivating Wisdom". Visitors can slow down and immerse themselves in the greenery of the mountain and forests. Follow the "Ridge in Flowers" step by step and walk along the Nine-Dragon Plank Road to reach the Peacock Valley Scenic Area, tourists can experience the unique charm of the "Natural Oxygen Bar". The winding "Dragon-Horse Road" seems to be a ribbon coiled in the mountain. After it was completed in July last year, it takes tourists only a few minutes by car from Huaguo Mountain to Peacock Valley, completely ending the history of no road connectivity between the two scenic spots. The Westward Journey Avenue - Tangseng Road - Bajie Road – Dragon-Horse Road forms the core sightseeing loop of the Great Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area.

The construction of the Peacock Valley Scenic Area is a key link in creating a comprehensive and in-depth tour of the Great Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area, where “tourists love to come and citizens often come”. A tourist center and a number of new attractions such as the Chinese Abelia Pavilion, the Plank Road along the Peacock Lake, and the Plank Road of Dripping Cliff were carefully created in the newly opened Peacock Valley Scenic Area in last July. The "Peacock Legend Fantasy Night Tour" has been launched, becoming an important node of supporting and development pattern in optimizing the tourism industry of the Great Huaguo Mountain Scenic Area. According to Meng Fanyan, Deputy Director of the Management Office of South Yuntai Forest Farm, the Yin-yang Creek Scenic Spot and a 2800-square meter forest health homestay will also be developed in the Peacock Valley Scenic Area. The second phase of the Peacock Lake Project will be launched to create a high-quality image of the scenic area, striving to present the most beautiful side of Peacock Valley to tourists.

The year 2024 is a crucial year for China’s implementation of the 14th Five-year Plan, as well as “a year for improving the quality and efficiency” of Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area. The development direction of the scenic area has been gradually shifted from “large-scale development, great construction and big investment” to “focusing on income, promoting consumption and improving efficiency”. At the beginning of the 2024 New Year, a key project promotion meeting was held in Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area to sort out key projects such as the water amusement facility project on the Great Sage Lake, the upgrade of the Sanyuan Palace parking lot and the relocation of ticket gate in the Fishery Bay Scenic Area. A sustained enthusiasm has been sparked for intensive efforts into projects, investment promotion and development throughout the entire area. With the attitude of “the beginning is a decisive battle, the beginning is a sprint”, we are fully fighting for the first quarter with a “good start”, and striving to promote the construction of the scenic area projects to achieve new breakthroughs.
