At the beginning of the Loong Year, the momentum for a speedy development seems to be unstoppable. Since the beginning of this year, Lianyungang Port has closely focused on the strategy of "integrating into the development of the Yangtze River Delta and making full use of the Longhai Line". With a high spirit, the staff has been working hard to push forward and sprint for the first quarter, striving to achieve a good start. In February, the port completed a cargo throughput of 26.407 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%; containers completed 491000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 8.4%, and production continued to maintain a high-speed growth trend.

Consolidate advantages and improve both throughput volume and efficiency. Overcoming multiple difficulties such as severe weather, short days, container shutdowns, and limited venues, Lianyungang Port has taken the two steps of strengthening overall planning and optimizing organization, focused on increasing production volume and market development, seized vehicles, ships and shipments, accelerated cargo turnover, and achieved new breakthroughs in increasing volume.

In February, the 400000-ton berths in the main port area's flag platform operation area welcomed "giant ships" six times. The "green channel" for document processing, meticulous and efficient operation efficiency and customized services are attracting more large ships to gather at Lianyungang Port. The north wing part of Ganyu Port Area completed a throughput of 1.3449 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.72%, while the south wing part of Guanhe Port Area completed a throughput of 852000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 3.78%. During the Spring Festival, the port staff carried forward the tradition of "celebrating festivals outside the port and working hard inside the port", operating a total of 14 ships. Among them, 2 ultra large ships with a capacity of 400000 tons completed a daily throughput of 580000 tons, achieving the best production performance during the Spring Festival in recent years, which laid a good foundation for the port to achieve a good start in the first season.

In February, the port¡¯s market development team, on the one hand, directly penetrated into the hinterland, carried out grid-based development, implemented dynamic production operations for key customers during the Spring Festival and resumed work and production after the festival, increased efforts to compete for key goods sources, and stabilized market share. On the other hand, relying on its location and hinterland advantages, it joined hands with overseas enterprises to accelerate the construction of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road", achieving dual results in the development of goods sources and routes.

In terms of routes, on February 24, the "Xinghui" steamer set out from Lianyungang New Oriental Container Terminal in the snow. The direct route of "Lianyungang Port in China - Seven Star Sea International Port in Cambodia" successfully witnessed its maiden voyage. The Sino-Cambodian Fish and Rice Corridor for Agricultural Products was successfully opened, and the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" by both sides made new achievements. In the aspect of supply, we will increase market development efforts and add PVC plastic materials and bagged nickel wet smelting intermediates to the product family. On February 15th, Xuwei Port Area developed a new type of unloading business of zirconium ore for the first time.

By the end of February, the port has completed a cumulative cargo throughput of 53.858 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%; containers reached 1.043 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 8.1%. The various fronts of Lianyungang Port are surging with spring tide, and the development situation continues to improve.
