Recently, CCID Consulting released the Top 100 Digital Cities in 2023 and China¡¯s Digital City Competitiveness Research Report in 2023. Our city ranks 76th in the Top 100 Digital Cities of 2023 and 65th in the development level of digital economy in the Top 100 Digital Cities in 2023. This list generally shows the good development momentum of our city's digital economy.

The construction of digital infrastructure has been accelerated. In 2022, our city took the lead in issuing Special Action Plan for Strengthening Digital Infrastructure in the City in the province, clarifying the first batch of 40 digital infrastructure construction projects. Seven thousand and two hundred 5G base stations have been built (8400 in the first half of this year), achieving full coverage of central urban areas, counties, key townships, and industrial parks. Twelve thousand new 10G ports have been built, and over 50000 new broadband users with a capacity of over 500M have been added. The city has basically built a "dual gigabit" network infrastructure that fully covers urban areas and eligible townships and has been successfully selected for the "gigabit city" list.

The pace of industrial digital transformation has been quickened. Our city is deeply promoting the intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry. In 2022, 22 municipal intelligent manufacturing demonstration workshops (totaling 47 at the municipal level and 36 at the provincial level) were created, and 84 service providers and a service resource pool of 110 products nationwide were established. The digital transformation of industrial parks and industrial clusters was promoted, and Lianyungang Petrochemical Industry Base was approved as a pilot demonstration (creation) unit for China's smart chemical industry park. Two enterprise technology centers of provincial-level and 30 enterprise technology centers of municipal level were added, and 49 star-rated cloud enterprises of provincial-level were added (a total of 264 have been built); Jiangsu Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. and Lianyungang Petrochemical Co., Ltd. were successfully selected as provincial-level 5G fully connected factories, and Xuwei New Area was successfully selected as the cultivation list of the provincial "5G+Industrial Internet" integrated application pilot zone. The development of digital innovation in the service industry has been accelerated. In 2022, the city's e-commerce online retail sales reached 90.27 billion yuan, including 55.42 billion yuan in rural e-commerce online retail sales, with year-on-year growth of 26.4% and 37.5% respectively, ranking 8th in the province; the import value of cross-border e-commerce bonded goods in the city is over 29.3214 million yuan, and the export value is 414 million yuan, with year-on-year growth of 154.32% and 101.94%, respectively. The business volume remains among the top five in Nanjing customs area.

The scale of digital industrialization is gradually expanding. In 2022, the software and information technology service industry in the city achieved the highest growth rate of main business revenue in the province. Our city's integrated circuit packaging materials and electronic grade silicon dioxide powder rank first in terms of industry scale and market share in China. Forty-one key electronic information industry projects in the city accomplished an investment of over 9 billion yuan in 2022. A total of 5 provincial-level software parks, big data industrial parks, internet innovation parks and software enterprise technology centers have been approved, and 11 software products have won the provincial Jin Hui Award. Five hundred and ten software products have been evaluated.

Currently, the digital economy has become the backbone of economic and social development and a competitive arena for all parties to "rub their hands". Xu, a member of the Party Group of the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, introduced that this year our city would further promote the construction of a strong digital economy city, cultivate more than 8 provincial-level key industrial internet platforms, industrial internet benchmark factories and intelligent manufacturing demonstration factories (workshops), and focus on cultivating 31 star-rated cloud enterprises. The electronic information manufacturing industry, software and information service industry are supposed to achieve annual revenue exceeding 18 billion yuan and 6.5 billion yuan respectively. One thousand and seven hundred new 5G base stations will be built, 5000 10GPON ports will be constructed, and a breakthrough of 420 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises and high-tech enterprises in the field of digital economy will be made.
