Lianyungang city accelerates integration into the Yangtze River Delta

Recently, it was learned from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission that since the beginning of this year, our city has focused on the two key areas of "integration" and "high quality", accelerated the gathering of high-quality innovation resources in the Yangtze River Delta, sped up the pace of integration into the Yangtze River Delta, pushed a number of major projects forward, and accelerated the construction of a number of key projects. Higher levels of open collaborative innovation and promoted and positive results in various fields have been achieved.

The government is committed to integrated and open cooperation, accelerating the construction of important international transportation hub in Asia and Europe. As an important carrier for integrating into the Yangtze River Delta, our city is continuously accelerating the construction of Lianyungang Port. In the first 10 months, 9 new routes were opened, with a cumulative cargo throughput of 259 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.13%. Containers of 4.9549 million TEUs were completed, a year-on-year increase of 11.51%. 265000 vehicles were exported, a year-on-year increase of 52.0%. The interconnected container company jointly established by Lianyungang Port and Shanghai Port Group has officially been put into operation. The two ports jointly organized a Shanghai-Lianyungang Port Shipping Cooperation Exchange Conference, issued special support policies, and achieved data exchange and business collaboration through the "digital corridor" between the two ports. The annual carrying capacity of Lianshen Express has reached 82000 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 49.4%. At the same time, our city also accelerated the infrastructure construction of the hub seaport and completed the fixed assets investment of 1.47 billion yuan. Cooperation was made on the overall planning revision of the port area in Lianyun District. The research on medium and long-term strategic planning of Lianyungang Port was initiated, and the dredging of 400000 ton ore terminal was completed. The renovation project of 150000 ton container berth and the first phase of the mixed ore yard project in South Qitai District have started. The intelligent three-dimensional garage has been capped. All 4 # -6 # bulk cargo berths in Ganyu Port Area have been completed, and the construction of 300000 ton crude oil terminal in Xuwei Port Area has been accelerated.

Accelerate integrated transformation and upgrading, and build industrial development centers with regional influence. Our city takes industry as the core of development and deepens the activation of regional cooperation through industrial projects. Three out of seven investment promotion centers are located in the Yangtze River Delta region (Shanghai, Nanjing, and Wuxi), further deepening industrial integration with the region and playing a positive role in attracting industrial projects. The JUNHE I-VALLEY project with a total investment of 800 million yuan, the emergency equipment manufacturing project with a total investment of 700 million yuan, and the Wuzhong intelligent equipment project with a total investment of 700 million yuan have all been introduced and landed in the Yangtze River Delta region. We will make every effort to promote the construction of the Xilian North and South Joint Construction Park, better realizing the complementary advantages and mutual benefits of the two industries, and carefully creating a cooperation model of regional complementarities and north-south linkage within the province. Following the concept of "doing whatever is needed in the Yangtze River Delta", we will fully leverage the resource endowment of port and sea areas and the strengths of the "three new and one high" industries, deeply integrate into the industrial division of labor system in the Yangtze River Delta, strengthen coordination and cooperation between upstream and downstream industries, vigorously promote the construction of key projects that fill industry gaps, enhance the resilience of the industrial chain, and improve the level of independent and controllable development, and strive to achieve staggered development, coordinated development and win-win development.

Strengthen the integration of elements and accelerate the gathering of high-quality innovative resources in the Yangtze River Delta. Strategic cooperation with Jiangnan University is facilitated and the construction of the Lianyungang Branch of the National Technology Transfer Center of Jiangnan University is accelerated; the joint construction of the China Pharmaceutical Port Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Center between the Municipal Development Zone and the Zhangjiang Research Institute of Fudan University is promoted; five offshore incubation bases in the Yangtze River Delta has been established. Thirty-five scientific research forces from the Yangtze River Delta are gathered to establish the Marine Industry-University-Research Cooperation Alliance of Jiangsu Province, and every effort has been made to build a high-level scientific and technological achievement transformation platform. Guidance to Shenghong was offered to establish an Advanced Materials Research Institute and promote the research and transformation of green and low-carbon technologies; support was given to two new material enterprises, Zhongfu Shenying and Novoray, to lead the Yangtze River Delta enterprises and successfully qualify for the first batch of 10 innovative consortium pilot projects in the province, exploring new models for joint transformation of achievements; the approval of Kanion Pharmaceutical's National Key Laboratory provides good opportunity to guide the transformation of more achievements in intelligent manufacturing of traditional Chinese medicine; the world's first 7000 ton green intelligent technology test ship is jointly built with 702 research institute, which has entered the stage of actual construction; close contact with the National Technology Innovation Center of the Yangtze River Delta has been carried out, and a total of 15 joint enterprise innovation centers have been established.
