Lianyungang Port accomplished a throughput of 289 million tons in the first 11 months

With the Orient Company of Lianyungang Port breaking the double record of lifting 188 vehicles and unloading 145 trucks by day and night trains in the west operation area of Xugou, production in November came to a satisfactory end. From January to November this year, Lianyungang Port completed a cargo throughput of 289 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.23%, and a container transport volume of 5.5324 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 10.55%. The port is blowing the "Charge" of the annual finale battle for production.

In November, the port actively overcame difficulties such as fluctuations in the supply market, frequent adverse weather and tight storage sites in accordance with the overall goal of "working hard for the fourth quarter and sprinting to guarantee the full year production" through optimizing production organization and deepening the cultivation of the supply market, achieving a good result. The port achieved a total cargo throughput of 29.9426 million tons throughout the month, maintaining a high level. The total volume of billing containers was 577500 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 3%.

In November, the port comprehensively raised its production organization level, strengthened port business linkage and coordination, made an overall utilization of berth resources throughout the port, and improved the efficiency of large ships entering and exiting the port and operating. On November 14th, through efficient and orderly work arrangements and meticulous deployment, Orient Company ensured that 2385 vehicles on two ships worked simultaneously without interfering with each other. It took less than 7 hours from start to completion, setting a record for the number of vehicles on small boats and the number of cubic operations per hour; in response to the phased concentration of loading demand at Xinsu Port, the railway transportation company has strengthened the coordination and cooperation within the port, adopted methods such as loading on delivery roads and effectively alleviated local loading pressure, achieving an average monthly loading of 2100 vehicles, an increase of 208 vehicles year-on-year and providing logistical support for production volume.

The port continues to increase its market development efforts, play the role of the group's cargo source development team and market specialist team, deepen the development of grid based markets in various areas, focus on doing a good job in year-end customer docking and visits, and consolidate and improve existing market share. Monthly bulk commodities such as iron ore, coal and laterite nickel ore maintain a stable increase in volume, while branded commodities such as machinery and equipment, ro-ro vehicles and grain also show varying degrees of growth. It is worth mentioning that on November 9th, Guanhe Port Area quickly completed the lifting, loading and unloading of large steel pipe piles, further expanding the supply of goods in the Guanhe Port Area; On November 18th, New Bay Terminal Company efficiently and safely completed the loading operation of fiberglass tanks, adding another new type of cargo to Ganyu Port Area.

Lianyungang Port also successfully held a symposium on deepening connectivity cooperation and jointly building an international hub seaport in the month. During the conference, domestic and foreign partners, customers, and friends gathered in Haizhou Bay to discuss development plans. A package of cooperation agreements were signed at the main forum of the conference and the plaque for the "Northeast Asia Lianyungang Empty Container Service Center" was unveiled, further strengthening the joint construction and sharing of the new Eurasian land-sea intermodal transportation channel, improving the software and hardware conditions for international hub sea port connectivity and constructing a new development pattern of Lianyungang Port that is rooted in the city, facing the whole country, and reaching out to the world. At the beginning of the month, the group also signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with China Mineral Resources Group, seeking sustainable development of the mineral resources supply chain, achieving complementary advantages and win-win cooperation.

At the end of the year, the port will continue to make efforts in opening up boutique routes, developing hinterland cargo sources and operating high-quality China-Europe freight trains. It will rely on production organization optimization to shape new momentum, leverage market cargo source development to create new advantages, and fully strive to achieve the annual goals.
